Charlie is a mixed breed, mostly Catahoula Leopard, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Beagle. He came to us at 12 weeks of age as a rescue and lived in Philadelphia until the age of 7 months. Just prior to returning to us, Charlie was attacked by another dog that was off-lead and he suffered minor injuries.

In addition to the normal challenges the above breeds sometimes present, Charlie developed severe reactivity, fear, and anxiety that manifested in numerous ways whenever he observed other people and/or dogs. A functional behavior assessment was completed and a behavioral intervention plan was designed. We got to work utilizing systematic desensitization and counterconditioning.
